Likely, the real time clock module would have worked okay as an addition to a Mega emulator. I only ran out of memory when I added an MP3 player on top of the others, and a real time clock module.

Adding an SD card module and extra serial port module, Mega was fine. I only had to go to a Due because I ran out of memory when adding a number components which also had libraries. I power my boards using a USB connect from my computer, or with a 5 volt wall plug, or a wall plug power supply (9-12 volts). It turns out this wasn't an issue for me, even when I added other components such as an SD card module. Regarding the CPU speed, for my testing, I didn't notice any significant difference between the boards.Īnother difference is that the Due uses 3.3 volt circuits where as the Mega is all 5 volt circuits.
